LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Patient Financial Counselor for our healthcare client in Dallas, TX. This role will be 100% onsite and a contract to hire opportunity for our client. The role will be patient-facing and focused on supporting our client's patients with financial aid, insurance benefit/coverage explanation, and helping them to get setup with payment plans as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in patient financial counseling, medical billing and/or similar role required
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances
- Proficiency within Microsoft Office and EMR Systems
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service experience, especially face-to-face interactions
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt when needed to different tasks throughout the day
- Ability to understand and explain insurances in a clear and concise way
- Bilingual English/Spanish strong desired (not required)
- Independently productive throughout the day and able to work well as an individual producer
